SMAD-P3 Multi Interface Shoe (MI Shoe) adaptor for URX-P03

The wireless receiver of the URX-P03 can be attached to camcorders or interchangeable-lens cameras that have an MI (Multi-Interface) shoe using the MI shoe adapter SMAD-P3. the eliminates the need for connecting cables. By using the MI shoe adapter, audio signals can be transmitted from the wireless receiver to a camera. In addition, the wireless receiver can get power from the camera and the camera can control power ON/OFF, unifying power management. 

The SMAD-P3 is applicable to XDCAM Camcorder PXW-Z280/Z190, PXW-X180/X160, PXW-X280/X200*, PXW-Z150**, PXW-FS7***, PXW-FS7II***, PXW-FS5, PXW-FS5II, PXW-Z90 and PXW-X70, NXCAM Camcorder HXR-NX5R, HXR-NX100, HXR-NX80 and HXR-MC2500, Handycam**** FDR-AX700, FDR-AX100*****, FDR-AX60, NEX-VG900 and NEX-VG30, interchangeable lens digital camera**** α7, α7II, α7III, α7R, α7RII, α7RIII, α7RIV, α7S, α7SII, α9, α99, α99II, α6000, α6300, α6400, α6500 and α6600, plus Cyber-shot**** DSC-RX10, DSC-RX10II, DSC-RX10III and DSC-RX10IV (as of October 2019).

* PXW-X200 firmware should be upgraded to Ver.2.00 or later for using SMAD-P3.
** When using with PXW-Z150 or HXR-NX5R operated by AC power, please set a battery on the camera. Without a battery, we do not guarantee the power supply function or power ON/OFF control function. In that case, insert new AA alkaline batteries in the receiver and set the receiver’s power select (PWR SOURCE) menu item to BATT ONLY mode to avoid an unexpected shutdown of the camera or data loss.
*** PXW-FS7/ FS7II : Noise may be detected when the GPS function is ON.
**** When used in conjunction with some camera models (all Handycam, interchangeable lens digital camera and Cyber-shot), operation of the power supply function and the power ON/OFF control function is not guaranteed. Insert new AA alkaline batteries in the receiver, and set the receiver’s power select (PWR SOURCE) menu item to BATT ONLY mode to avoid unexpected shutdown of the camera or data loss. (The menu items differ in older versions of the URX-P03 software. In such cases, set the priority power selection (POWER SEL) menu item to BATTERY mode.)
***** FDR-AX100: Media access noise may be detected when you use high-speed memory card.

No need for separate XLR cable
Using an MI Shoe connection, the audio signal from a UWP-D11 or UWP-D12 wireless microphone package can be input from the wireless microphone receiver to the camera without an XLR cable.

Power can be supplied by camera
Power can be switched on and off from the camera/camcorder.
